The United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) is responsible at the international level for collecting and disseminating official national data on international migration. Figures such as numbers of people resident in countries not of their birth etc are available here.

The overall aim of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) programme on International Migration is to promote the respect for the human rights of migrants, and to contribute to peaceful integration of migrants in society.

The Migrants' Rights Network (MRN) is working for a rights-based approach to migration, with migrants as full partners in developing the policies and procedures that affect life in the UK. They focus on activities that extend the scope of the human, economic and social rights which apply to migrants' circumstances.
