Stories

“If I [to have sex with clients] I was threatened. He was pointing the gun to my head, and he was saying.. ‘If you don’t do this in the next minute, you will be dead’. He has the gun, he was just saying do this or you will be dead.” – woman trafficked into Kosovo.

Two stories on the UN.GIFT website also illustrate the use of guns in human trafficking.  Firstly the use of guns with children trafficked from Kenya into the militia fighting in the Congo (p38) and secondly the use of a gun to threaten a Romanian woman trafficked to Germany (p39-40).
